in a way, slim thick is like… even more restricting and impossible of an ideal body type than just regular slim was. at least when I was striving to be thin, I could celebrate any weight loss, any change in which my body got smaller. now it’s like… you gotta lose fat in the RIGHT places. you gotta keep fat/gain muscle in the RIGHT places. gotta have this SPECIFIC shape & it’s like nah… nah this too much

TRUTH
You cannot isolate one set of muscles and lose fat just in that one spot. Eating clean and working out is a full body thing.
1. You might break a nail.
2. You could even bruise a male ego or two.
3. You’ll eat properly and still be able to lose fat. Work of the devil!
4. You’ll look more like an athlete and less like a runway model. Skeletal is sexy, right?
5. You’ll be able to lift heavy things without asking a man for help, thus upsetting the balance of the universe.
6. You will be seen in public without high heels.
7. You’ll grunt, sweat and feel sore. So unladylike!
8. You’ll be proud of your pert bum instead of being self conscious about it like a normal woman.
9. You’ll be more active and confident instead of sitting around looking pretty. What are you, some kind of feminist?
10. You’ll be stronger, leaner and sexier – and we all know where that can lead!
Can we address this tension between health and fitness blogs and recovery blogs for a second? I’m getting so tired of seeing hate from both sides on my dash
Recovery blogs: Quit assuming that everyone focussed on bettering their health or body is disordered. Some people are just athletes sharing their passion. Some have been told by medical professionals to lose fat and find it helpful to have a community full of support. You cannot know anything about their mental health from the snippets they post on social media so stop pretending you do simply because that’s a mindset you are coming from
Fitblrs/healthblrs: Reblogging only photos of girls with body types unrealistic to your own with the caption “goals” and freaking out when you eat x amount of extra calories or food that doesn’t fit your macros IS unhealthy. Make sure you aren’t so obsessed with bettering your physical health you let it destroy you mentally.
the fact that the Russian language doesn’t have articles makes me go ??????????????? because in a native English speaker’s head it sounds like a hilarious shitpost type thing
so when you ask someone “Где водка?” it translates to “where is the vodka?”
but in my horrible backwards english brain if I don’t see any articles I assume they aren’t there, so yelling “ГДЕ ВОДКА” translates to “WHERE VODKA” like some kind of drunken maniac who you definitely should not give vodka to

“Eat when you’re hungry, stop when you’re full” sounds so simple, but it’s pretty hard in practice. We’re so used to rejecting our hunger cues (part of the diet mentality) that we don’t know if we can trust ourselves to eat normally. It is challenging and initially pretty scary to stop counting calories/macros or following some random diet plan. You just have to trust the process. Slow down when you’re eating, chew and enjoy your food. Don’t label food as “good” or “bad.” Try to eat a wide array of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats/fish/beans for protein, and healthy fats. It’s ok to indulge, but just do so in moderation. If you slip up and binge, BREATHE and remember tomorrow is a new opportunity. Hope this helps! ❤️
Schrodinger’s douchebag: A guy who says really offensive things and decides whether or not he was joking based upon the reaction of people around him.
the worst part about being bilingual is being only like… moderately bilingual. like you can make conversation but you can’t like read articles and shit. or if you can understand but not respond. or if you only know enough to look impressive to a monolingual person, but you’re just pathetic to people who are native speakers lolol
Shia LaBeouf comes out in saying that he was raped by a woman
And no one takes it seriously and makes fun of him
I feel so bad for the dude right now like. People didn’t even take the women who were raped by Cosby seriously and now this
Fuck man. This is such bullshit. Do yourselves a favor and don’t read any comments on any articles you see because they are 98% victim blaming and rape jokes
a lot of ppl seem confused on what cultural appropriation is so lemme break it down
IT IS NOT: enjoying food from another culture, enjoying music from another culture, learning about another culture, or learning another language
IT IS: using another culture as a costume, wearing religious articles as accessories when you are not a follower of that religion, using a race as a mascot, disrespecting religious or cultural practices.
